Last month, whilst on a visit to Spain, reader Jeff Schuijlenburg spotted this body lying around. It must be on fertile soil, because it looks like the body has just sprouted out of the ground. We wish our garden would grow things like that instead of the omnipresent weeds. Well, in fact the body was lying in the backyard near a small shed. Jeff couldn’t find the owner -he was probably inside the shed working on the chassis- and couldn’t see anything on the body about the make or coachbuilder. It looks very well preserved and of good quality. Do you know what it is? Or maybe the owner reads this and can tell us more about it? Contact us!
Update II by Francisco Carrion who thinks: "... could be an Hispano-Suiza, if you look at the front screen and the "torpedo" you will see that it looks exactly like the H-S radiator! I have no doubts, it is a T-49 model."
Update I by John Hearne: "...to me (it) has the look of an Italian car and not unlike an Ansaldo. The rear mudgards do not appear to be from this touring body. Note the mounting holes which look to be more suited to a saloon car."
