Wet clutch ...

Paul Linster sended his personal report on last weekend's very wet 'End of Holiday Rally' , what's in a name:
"On the starting grid 3 Lagondas : Louward Frans from Westervoort and his M45, my friend Jean-Marie Gillen with his 3 liter and finally me with my 2 liter. John and Clare Hugh from Belgium, who had electric problems with their 2 liter Semi Sports in Ourthe et Meuse Rally came with their Austin Nippy but broke the exhaust before starting and were delighted to come with me, John as navigator and Clare as "rear passenger". So on Saturday we left under heavy rain but in good mood. Lovely going for about 80 km to the first station. I stopped the car for about an hour; back I noticed a less longer way of the clutch. I told John and he answered that he also had some problems with his Lagonda clutch, but that this is of no big importance; so far so well. I felt the clutch "changing" more and more and changing gears got heavy; I stopped with the gear already heavy to get in neutral ...and that was the rallye. Impossible to select a gear. John and Clare found another driver ,- but now doubt about their bad influence on Lagondas... ;-)) I waited for the trailer.
