Thank you Bas de Voogd, Stephen Walker --> (16/24 1908/09), Paul Hicks (NZ) who all suggested Humber. Yet we were not convinced untill Mike Clark suggested Citroën DS (!!?) because of the single spoke steering wheel. Suddenly I remembered the 1904 Humber (click) during the 2001 London-Brighton and that I did an expose on the idea theft by Citroën ;-). Thank you Mike, to bring the missing link! Bas added on the registration: "AJ is a registration from North Yorkshire between 1903-1912. The document concerning should be in Northallerton, County Record Office, County Hall, Northallerton, N. Yorks DL7 8AD. AU is Nottingham, but these files probably are destroyed."
EARLIER TEXT: Bruno Costers of Belgium did this photofind a few years ago in Engeland. Still, he has no idea what make of car this one can be. The Open Driver Limousine reminds us of a Napier taxi we recently saw. The radiator form, dumbirons and steering set-up show resmeblance with a 1910 Napier. However, the hubs seem rather different. The registration (click photo for more detail) reeds AJ or AU-325. This maybe can help? Please send your comments to [email protected].
