The MG TA replaced the highly successful P type, the main advancements in the new model was the increased track by 3 inches, which in-turn gave more room and comfort for occupants, also improved cornering stability. However the biggerst updread was the new engine know as a MPJG at 1292cc. This engine gives the TA real credibility on the open road which was proven in the 1939 Australian GP where Allan Tomlinson took victory…..
Thia car was registered in February 1938 this car retains her original engine which had been fitted with a high torque starter motor, and recent new tonneau cover. She is offered from a decided estate with the vendor unable to locate the history file were unbale to confirm what works have been completed recently. I do however acetan there have been recent cosmetic works completed.
The car performs very well on the road, with good oil pressure, the 1292cc engine more that capable of enjoying an A or B road to there full potential, this kept in check by hydraulic brakes.
Finished in black paint with red seats and door cars which match the radiator slats.
