Company / History
The Austin Seven was introduced to the public in 1922. Sir Herbert Austin, later known as Lord Austin, was responsible for the original design of the Seven. Much of the detailed engineering and development work was carried out by Stanley Edge, who became one of the key figures behind the Austin Seven models.
Over the years, Austin produced the Seven in a wide variety of body styles, including tourers, saloons, fabric-bodied saloons, sports models, and more. The RL was the fixed steel saloon version, in contrast to the fabric-bodied saloons.
The RP Saloon was the improved successor to the RK/RL models. It was slightly longer, larger, and more spacious, and featured several technical improvements, including a 4-speed gearbox and enhanced brakes.

This charming Austin had not seen daylight for many years and was discovered as a genuine barn find. The vehicle comes from an inheritance, and the decision has now been made to offer it for sale.
The Austin starts, drives, and shifts perfectly, and all lights are in working order. A video of the car is available upon request.
