About the car
This Lagonda LG45 is an exceptionally accurate replica of an LG45 Team Car believed to be the former Hugh Howorth “Bow Peephill” hillclimb record car. It's built with an obsessive level of attention to detail. Every detail has been reproduced as closely as possible to the original photographs and factory drawings.

Performance
Under the bonnet is a comprehensively upgraded engine, featuring a new steel crankshaft and connecting rods, forged pistons, a high lift camshaft and modified cylinder head as well as an uprated clutch and gearbox, along with a specially fabricated fuel tank replicating the original Le Mans TT tanks.

History
F.H. Howorth was a notable British racing driver in the post war era, best known for competing in this 4.5-liter Lagonda.

Firle Hillclimb Victory: Howorth won the first revival of the Firle Hillclimb in the UK, driving a 4.5-liter Lagonda. Finishing with a time of 31.40s in a recorded speed run.

1949 Pikes Peak: Howorth competed in the 1949 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in Colorado, driving his 4.5 liter Lagonda. He was a prominent member of the Lagonda Club his 4.5 liter racing car was later acquired by well known Lagonda owner/collector Bill Allsager.

Appeared in events such as the Blackpool Rally and appearing in Autosport race reports in 1952.

The car he campaigned is sometimes referred to as the "ex-Hugh Howorth racing 4½-litre".
