A Bugatti Bed

Throwback Thursday! We came across this old picture which again made us smile. Do you think Kay his son - now 15 years old - is still sleeping in his Bugatti bed? We do not know. But we are wondering whether it is possible to surpass this Bugatti?!

When you are a kid, it must be great to have a father like Kay Hottendorff. Kay, who we know as the co-author of ‘The Fate Of The Sleeping Beauties’, made this bed for his five-year-old son after a 1:18 Grand Prix Bugatti Type 59 model car. He writes: “OK, I know, the wheels are Type 35 style and the exhaust is on the wrong side. But it was much easier to build it this way and my son doesn't care ;-).” Great job, Kay, but what about us older guys? Where do we sleep? Do you have an ‘automotive bedroom’? If not, you might consider a trip to the V8 Hotel in Stuttgart, Germany who offer thematic rooms like the Workshop; the Petrol Station or the Carwash. Happy dreams!
