A Fashionable Friday Lady

Dedicated followers of fashion have a soft spot for man’s best friend, or so it seems. We’ve all seen the groomed poodles and the tiny little dogs in designer bags. Typical of today’s hedonistic humankind? Perhaps. But then things weren’t too much different in the 1920s. Influenced by the favoured canine companions of Hollywood stars, dogs were becoming fashion accessories at the time.

We do not know much about the lady seen here and can only guess about her background and social status. Her trendy hairstyle, modern clothing and subtle jewellery make us think she’s not particularly underprivileged though. And how about the dog with its driving goggles – possibly even made to measure?

It makes you wonder whether the roadster is equally fashionable. We’re sure you will be able to tell us more about that.

Oh, and by the way, happy World Animal Day!
