This is one of those hard to crack mystery cars. One that hopefully will get out the more hardened car sleuth. here is the info we have:. The photo was sent to us by Dr. Rainer Herbst, well known from the firm of Thiesen in Hamburg. "I just got a picture of an unknown car from a friend of mine. It was taken around 1925 somewhere in the outskirts of Hamburg and shows her grandmother and family." Nothing about the car except that it is most likely German built . The coachwork has two interesting details. The front door seems very narrow, or is it a photographic distortion due to the angle of photograhy? The second point of interest is the rounded metal box which holds the fold away top. At least that is what we think. Possibly this is a very interesting feature as we see the same in many mid twenties German bath tub shaped tourers. But with those cars that feature it is much more an integrated part of the structure. Here it is more or less an add on. Which means it is either a prototype of the later cars or an after market accessory. May the connoisseurs speak!
