The Coal-scuttle Mystery (upd.II: Sintz)

Many-many cars had this type of bonnet in the pre WWI years. Though particularly attributed to French cars (de Dion, Renault, Darracq, etc.), there were numbers of  other makes from Britain (Arrol Johnston) and from the US (Franklin) and also from elsewhere showing similar coal scuttle style noses. Yet this is one - we dare date it around 1905 - is a bit different. The nicely sculpted brass fittings give a high dinosaur appearance to the bonnet. They are louvres in itself in addition to the more traditional straight louvres. Quite possible this is a one-off example made with a special purpose. The car may have needed more cooling to climb. Or to race? Who can tell? Stijnus Schotte found the bonnet at Hershey and still has no idea of what kind of car it came of. Can you help?

UPDATE II: Henk Schuuring has doubts about Westfield because of the square on top. He suggests it could be an American made Sintz, although the coal-scutlle looks sawn-off for another project.

UPDATE I: Andrew Winter proves to be a good observer with saying this is very similar to the 1902 Westfield he spotted during the most recent London to Brighton Run.

I just happened on this feature. I have a bonnet (that looks really similar)and center chain drive axle that is off the same car. I know some possible history of it. I would like to know more.

I am the owner of the 1902 westfield and I must say that it certainly does look exactly like tje bonnet on my car, this is a very rare item as mine is the only car known to survive.
Does the writer know any more about its origin?

This looks very similar to the bonnet of the 1902 Westfield I saw on the London to Brighton run recently (Entry no. 233).
Regards,
Andrew Winter.
