A Scottish Mystery

Who can tell us more about the PreWarCar in this family photo?

The picture has been sent to us by Jim Hay. He believes it is taken sometime in 1903. The motor car shown was registered in the historic county Ayrshire in south-west Scotland and likely spent time in Argyll.

Can anyone identify the make and the model of the car shown in the attached family photograph?

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Please comment below.

CAR, tonneau body to seat 5, painted blue, yellow wheels, nickel plated fittings, 2 head lights. 3 other lamps, 2 spare tyres, and tools; warranted perfect £65”.

When new they had been £750-900!

Nice period picture taken in characteristic British style! The car is a 1903 20hp MMC tonneau. The side lights have a rather odd position next to the front seats, but that seems to have been an MMC feature on many models.
