When the Jowett Kestrel was first introduced in 1933 it was described as ’A symphony in steel’, although in this case the expression has taken on a whole different meaning. Yet we think a serious restorer will be able to return this Kestrel to the way its sweeping body lines looked in 1934 (Flickr.com). The 7hp twin cylinder boxer engine turns freely and the only bits known to be missing from the body are the front and rear bumpers and the front wings which have been cut off at some time. A pair of repairable wings could be available from the Jowett Club, although you will need to be a club member to attain them. But first have a look at Herefordshire Vintage Auctions who will be offering this 1934 Jowett Kestrel at their next sale on July 27th.
