Thank you for that. It sure looked like Brooklands with the observation tower. I have seen several of the aircraft from the film at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome in Rhinebeck, New York. It's quite a museum, all the aircraft are in flying order including a Fokker D-7. There are several classic cars there including a Morgan 3-wheeler barrel-back (not sure of the correct model name) with a Matchless engine. They wouldn't sell it to me!
I recently watched the film, "Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines." Not long after I was at a vintage bus event at Brooklands. In the film, which I saw as a child, Brooklands is called "Brookley." I asked several people about that and no one knew. Does anyone know or should I have asked someone there who was older than 70?
