This is how to wear & sell tyres quickly!

Chain-gang GN racer, Dougal Cawley entered an amazing 15 races with the Vintage Sports-Car Club this year, winning 7 of them, elevating him to overall success in the club's two prestigious championships. The Motor Sport Brooklands Trophy is for competitors with racing cars constructed before, or using components from specified cars built before 1941. Dougal also topped the points in the Longstone Championship (sponsored by his own company, Longstone Tyres) which recognizes competitors who drive their vehicles on the road to compete at the Club’s race meetings. Dougal, a great purveyor of using Pre-war cars on the road, drove his Ford engined GN ‘Piglet’ to three race meetings. Finishing eight points ahead of fellow GN racer Justin Maeers, who enthusiastically drives his 6 litre Cirrus engined ‘Parker’ Special to the many venues that the Club visits throughout the season. Club Director, Tim Kneller was placed third in the running, having driven his Riley 12/4 to many events from his home in Kent.
