Christmas Quiz 2011 – the results!

Have we ever had an easier Christmas Quiz? Judging by the number of entrants we think not. A more difficult one next year, that's a promise! First the solutions: on day 1 we showed you a most beautiful Rolls-Royce, a 1933 Phantom II Continental Touring Saloon with coachwork by Barker. A men's thing, that consists of a ribbon of fabric tied around the collar in a symmetrical manner such that the two opposite ends form loops is of course a very cryptic way of describing a bow tie, the trade mark of Chevrolet on day 2, in this case a 1936 Coupe. On day 3 we gave you as clue that the radiator emblem was half man, half lion, which was the Egyptian Sphinx that graced the Armstrong Siddeley of day 3. And on day 4 an Italian revolutionary together with an ancient Italian make should make you think of the 1936 Fiat Balilla. The cartwheels on day 5 were mounted on a IHC (or International Harvester) highwheeler and we saved the most difficult for the last day, the electric 1906 Columbia. From all entrants with a correct answer we randomly picked six names who will all receive the infamous (*) PreWarCar T-shirt. They are Donald van Mourik, Ace Zenek, Gigio Isola, Peter Martin, Bob Branner and Brendan Walsh. Congratulations to you all!
(*) we received criticism that we shouldn't use the word 'infamous' anymore as it sounds too negative. We promise  to use the word 'famous'.... in a distant future.

Should the "Rolls Royce" be corrected above to "Rolls-Royce" (with a dash) as shown on their official website?
