We bet the Porsche driver was not amused – but the crowd loved it!

The English sportscar in the clip is a 1935 Riley Imp. For nearly 20 years the car was owned by the Dutch Rally driver Willy Oosten from Amsterdam. He used his Riley for many rallies and races during the 1950s. Among them the Whitsun races at the Zandvoort circuit. At that time, races in The Netherlands often had a Le Mans start.

It is only at the second glance that we notice the presence of a secondary door

Chassis no. 57443 was completed in the Bugatti factory in September 1936 and sold to the Bugatti Bucar agency that operated in Berlin and Zürich. The chassis was driven more than 150 km to Hermann Graber's workshops on the 21st of September. Graber Bodywork n° 350 - a unique "4 in 2" coupé body was skillful designed and crafted. It is only at second glance that we notice the presence of a secondary door.

With its association with the Grand Hotel Villa d’Este, which since its inception as the summer palace of Cardinal Tolomeo Gallio in 1568 has been the home of the great and the good from all walks of life, the Concorso immediately became the most important event of its kind.
