Two mischievous little boys in front of a PreWarCar. This cheerful photograph was sent in by one of our readers, Bruno Estibals. He wrote to us "The picture depicts my father and his friend in front of an American car, but which one?" We think the car is a Buick. But can anyone tell us more about the specific car we see here? From what year do you guys think the Buick is?

As you very likely have seen on the photographs we published last weekend, we had a great weekend at Classic Days Schloss Dyck. One of the highlights was the BMW 327/ 328 that participated in the Concours d’Elegance. The car was in restored condition and the owner was using this quality car on a regular base. This made us enthusiastic and when back home, the first thing we did was scrolling through our online marketplace.
Our eye quickly found a potential car: an impressive 1938 BMW 327/8 Cabriolet. Not only is the car ready for the final paint job and assembly, but it is also a matching number car and therefore has the potential to become one of the most desired ones. The history of the car is known, it was first delivered to Ernst Henne in Munich, Germany on July 14th, 1938. Manufactured in July 1938 and originally DuoTone Green.
Last weekend the renowned Classic Days Schloss Dyck took place. The PreWarCar.com and PostWarClassic.com team had at a stand at this great event. We hope you all have seen and enjoyed the live updates we gave on the event of the websites and our Facebook and Instagram pages.
We had a wonderful time. Also being part of the very professional jury of the ‘Masterpieces Concours, a competition of elegance in the park’ was a real honour. Probably the most important trophy - The Best of Show - was awarded to a 4.5-Litre 1928 Bentley with Vanden Plas coachwork. The car has an impressive history, as it raced at Brooklands and drove at Le Mans being part of the new Speed Sixes team driven by Lord Howe and Bernard Rubin. Besides this, YV7263 raced at Montlhery, where it broke the single-handed 24-hour record at an average speed of 89.73 mph. Besides the fact that YV7263 is a true racer, it still is in a very original condition. From our point of view a well-deserved winner!

This is class and style! Classic cars are very often the centre of attention. Certainly this time! Worldwide Auctioneers shows us exclusivity at the Pacific Grove Auction, which will be held on the 15th of August 2019. We just did not know where to start! Therefore we decided to show our personal favourite first. A breath-taking 1912 Simplex. This sporty four-passenger model 38 has a touring body built in the style of Holbrook. It has the Simplex name proudly scripted in brass across the radiator. This attractive Brass Era Simplex is powered by a large 476 cubic-inch four-cylinder T-head engine that develops 40 horsepower and is equipped with a rare period-correct Rushmore starter. A very usable and eye-catching car in a show worthy condition.
Ladies and things that go vrooom! Enjoy watching this wonderful black and white video of women racing drivers.
