Ian Murray came up with a very interesting set of photos. The large one showing here is a 1906 photograph of the King crossing The Square of Dufftown, where Ian grew up. He is aware of the fact that the Royals in general used Daimlers and there was mention of King George V using a Daimler, but on this specific occasion it looks more like a Mercedes. It would be interesting if anyone recognises the make of car if it's not a Mercedes. In reference to the Daimler Ian attached four photographs of similar cars from the Edwardian era. Eager to hear your response!
Trivial knowledge: the nice building on the right - The Old Bank - is for sale at moderate cost.
