Een 1912 Anasagasti uit Buenos Aires
Anasagasti is een merk dat we niet vaak tegenkomen. Al in 1912 bouwde Horacio Anasagasti, geboren in 1879, ongeveer 50 auto's in Buenos Aires, Argentinië. Het chassis, de versnellingsbakken, de diffs en de stuurhuizen zijn allemaal van Franse makelij, van MAB. De verschillende carrosseriestijlen werden allemaal ter plaatse gemaakt. Anasagasti stuurde drie auto's naar de Tour de France in 1913 en deze werden daar na het evenement verkocht.
1912 Anasagasti
Slechts twee auto's met een Ballot, 2125cc 4-cilinder motor zijn bekend te hebben overleefd. Een ervan is te zien in het Museo de Nacional de Aeronáutica de Argentina. De andere - de Anasagasti op de foto's - is eigendom van de Club de Automóviles Clásicos. De auto onderging een totale restauratie - kijk maar eens naar het resultaat na twee jaar fijn vakmanschap!

A few years ago, I met Guillermo SANCHEZ the great specialist in ANASAGASTI.
With him I discovered these cars. Horacio ANASAGASTI left Argentina for FRANCE to meet car suppliers so that he could build his own cars. The engines selected are of the BALLOT brand. He also retains Janvier and Sabin if required. Malicet and Blin provides the chassis with suspensions, wheels, brakes, steering, gearbox and differential. The clutch comes from Hele-Sawles. The first radiators are GM (Moreaux).
For the 1913 race, Coupe de l'Auto, the motor was actually designed by Lucien Picker (78x156 mm)
One of the models left (model 1912 typo B number 131) was presented on november 3. 2021 in Buenos Aires after restoration with French bodywork. Thank you Rueda RUDGE for the photographs!

I believe there was also a "race car", powered by an engine that had something to do with Lucian Picker, Ernest Henry's employer.
