Everything old is new again

The Ford Piquette Avenue Plant, known as the ‘Birthplace of the Model T’, is Detroit's only remaining, well-preserved, historic automobile factory, dating from the earliest days of the auto industry. Henry Ford Detroit.  Until October 2nd it is also the background of an exhibition called “Fashion and the Automobile”. Guest curator Victoria Mobley takes you on a time-trip through 10 eras, a virtual drive down memory lane, showing the relationship between fashion design and automotive design, and how both were influenced by function, environment, lifestyle, and world events. The journey goes from the 1800's until the present day and while you travel through each decade, you’ll see the ‘U-Turns’ each decade takes, as what’s old becomes new again in Fashion and The Automobile (click link for more details!)
