Letter to the editor
Dear colleagues!
I am a car historian from Russia Vasily Shishka. Some people know me as the author of the encyclopedia French cars of the 19th century.
I would like to continue this topic and write a free electronic encyclopedia for readers French cars 1901-1902 in pdf format, about 400 pages. This book will feature gasoline steam and electric French cars. And their adventures in Russia. For example, a winter race at -31 degrees Celsius. I am attaching an example of a future book. This is a fragment about Ader's cars. Paris-Vienna car not shown.
My volunteer friends and me have already collected in electronic form 99 books and annual filings of automotive, sports, technical, electrical, scientific, popular science and entertainment magazines of the early 20th century. This is over 38 thousand pages. Most of this information has already been processed.
This book will be in English, French and Russian and is freely available to everyone.
To do this, I need to win a grant in Russia. The cultural experts who will be evaluating my application know nothing about automotive history. They are singers, dancers and artists. I have to prove by figures the relevance and geography of this project.
I have over 30 letters of support from societies of automobile historians, vintage car clubs, automobile and technical museums, and even automobile restorers from France, Russia, Italy, England, USA, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Malta, Argentina, Isle of Man. Awaiting a letter from Australia. The largest National Automobile Museum - Collection Schlumpf from Mulhouse, also sent a letter. And of course one of the first to write a letter of support to Laurens Klein. I want to express my deep appreciation and gratitude to everyone who spent their time and wrote me a letter!
If you like this project, then please write in the comments: "I want this book. France (UK, USA or other)". Be sure to include your country. This is also for experts. If you like this project and can write a letter of support from an organization related to vintage cars before January 7, 2022, then I will be very grateful. My mail is shown in the picture. The more comments from different countries and letters of support, the more chances I have to win.
Can you tell if this guy promised us a book about Serpollet cars? He doesn't keep his word!
I hope to finish the first volume of Automobiles of Serpollet while the culture experts do the scoring. A little sensation awaits you. Absolutely all car lovers know one fact from the history of Serpollet, but it turns out to be a myth.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
