From Peter Thompson, chairman of the Mid East Section of The Veteran Car Club of Great Britain we received a report of their annual Main Event over the weekend of August 7th and 8th. 2011. “Some 50 pre-1919 motor cars took part over a pleasant English summer weekend based at the Knights Hill Hotel, King’s Lynn, Norfolk, where the Gala Dinner was held in the splendid Great Hall with the drinks reception sponsored by leading auction house Bonhams 1793. The 130 participants came from all over the UK, Norway and France to take part in what was a gentle veteran car run of the glorious Norfolk countryside, with planned routes avoiding all main roads and traffic ‘hot spots’.
