Glovebox find in Rollston Packard find.

Tom Laferriere has developed a nose for finding Packards, so he is not exhilirated about finding yet another one. But with this  1934 Rollston bodied Packard which is said it was owned by the Vanderbilt family he is on top of the world.  Tom claimes it is the only one still in existence. We guess he is right, but if you happen to have one parked in your driveway, we are happy to hear from you of course.  Anyway, upon checking the passenger room (and what about this cool radio),  he found this postcard in a glovebox.  It was sent January 18, 1951 from Palm Beach to Mrs. Cornelius Vanderbilt,  2 East 86th street, NY (classy address !)  and reads Dear Grace (Vanderbilt), ..... signed Robert.    Grace Vanderbilt was married to Cornelius Vanderbilt. She  died in 1953. After her demise the car probably has been sold as the last owner before Tom tells he he had the car for forty years. If you can add to the story or even have photos of the car back then, you are most welcome. Want to see more of the car, contact Tom Laferriere.
