Identify car on book
Letter to the editor
The cover of a book I am reading [Evelyn Waugh: The Complete Short Stories. Penguin Modern Classics] features a pre war sports car that I cannot identify. It is a Zoltan Glass photo of a handsome large 2 seater with pointed tail with side mounted spare wheel, a very thin/delicate radiator surround and has very unique large hubs protruding from the disc wheels. I wonder if you can identify it please.

Attached is a photo of a surviving Stoewer V5 Sport which I took in 2019 in the Stoewer Museum in Wald-Michelbach (Germany). In the meantime, the whole collection has been transferred to Stettin (belonging of Poland since 1945) where the cars had once been made...
