Lillias MacDonald in a Mystery car

Behind the wheel we see Lillias MacDonald, posing on the grounds of Armadale in Victoria (B.C.). The two passengers in the back are her parents, the Senator and Mrs W.J. MacDonald. The photograph is taken in 1912. Which means the automobile we see is built before this date. Can anyone identify the make of the car by looking at the side of the body, the shape of the running board and maybe the wooden spoke wheels? Please comment below if you can tell us more about this week’s Friday Lady Mystery.

It looks like a 1913 Cadillac Phaeton. Perhaps the picture was taken late in 1912.

The four passenger phaeton was the only body style to feature the decorative mouldings on the upper body sides. The Standard Catalog says the 1913 model Cadillacs were introduced in August 1912, so if this photo was shot in late 1912 then the car was brand new.
