In the lead Cadillac we see the 1907 May Queen, Anne Tidy, with Maids of Honour, friends and family. Anne is the one in centre back seat in white. She is turned around maybe to look at the Buick behind which is carrying the 1906 May Queen, Myrtle Starret, also in white. The photo enclosed shows Anne, front and centre, with Maids of Honour. Myertle with her Maids of Honour stand behind.
Are those 1906-7 Cadillacs, front and third cars; maybe a Buick F between?
Do hope the lad standing between the metals moved before that downhill tram, on perhaps part of British Columbia Electric Railway Company’s network, ran over him!
That would have rained in their parade, as would the nearby wage-related anti-Asiatic race riots of that year, as some 10,000 more lower-paid Japanese, Chinese and Indian workers were brought in...
The first car looks like a one-cylinder 1907 Cadillac Model "M" with a Straight Light Touring Car body. The third car is likely another Cadillac model "M" as well. The cost was $950 (U.S.), which is about $26,000 today. The following year would be the last for Cadillac's single-cylinder models.
