Monster Wolseley history sought

Earlier misplaced under post-war by your editor; now relaunched in  the right category.

Remember young Lucas who could hardly wait to take the wheel of his dad’s postwar Wolseley 14/60 back in the summer of 2011 ? Well that Wols turned to be kind of a workhouse as the restoration takes longer then estimated, leaving the family to long await before old time motoring could commence. So when this pre war running Wolseley Supersix 25 came onto the market it didn’t take long for Lucas to persuade his dad to invest again in this huge monster with its 3,5 litre engine. It appears to be a late 1938 Wolseley Supersix type 25 Series III limousine. Of the 75 made only 3 did survive to our knowledge. Although much of its recent history is known Lucas would be delighted if any of the PreWarCar readers remembers this 25 limo from the times it lived in England. A badge  on the car reveals that it was involved in a DLOC rally on the 12th of June 1983 in Coombe Abbey.

Hi there.
Surprisingly I also own a Wolseley 25hp Series III from 1938 but it is a Drop Head Coupe version. If I can help with anything on the engine and transmission side, please let me know as I guess both cars were basically the same.
Happy Wolseleying.
