The World's Fastest (Indian) Cyclecar?

Keith McElroy spotted this sporty cyclecar at Steam & Traction rally at Lake Goldsmith, Victoria, Australia two years ago..! And the mschine is still haunting him. The engine is an aircooled Indian V-twin. Furthermore one can see it is a frontwheel drive. A rather intersting machine We suspect the car is a one-off, and we're sure there are a few friends out there who can tell Keith and all of us all about it.

The rear wheels are possibly from an Austin Seven, The back end could be a heavily modified A7 rear axle mounted with a transverse spring.

Looks as if it could be based on BSA front driver of the 1930s.
However the BSA had inboard brakes and there appears to be a cable running to the L/H front - the long upper and lower trailing arms are not BSA either.

I understand the car in the photo was built in the spirit of a fascinating Australian racing car initially built in 1928 and subsequently developed by the Chamberlain brothers. The original “Chamberlain 8” survives, including its remarkable power plant, and more can be found:
