Seventy years after the explosion

Davy Guineau reports: "My latest discovery is this 1934 Citroën Traction Avant Cabriolet. It has remained here in the Dordogne since 1944. It was only thanks to an old photograph showing the wreck that I could find out its whereabouts. I contacted the owner of the land and when he said it was okay, I started the search. According to the owner, the car was blown up in 1944. Enormous holes in the front right-hand side are evidence of that event. From the first photos I could identify the car as an 11AL from 1934, primarily based on the air filter. Later, it became clear this is a 7CV model. I will try to recontruct this rare cabriolet based on a berline (editor: uh-oh, here we go again...) of the same year. No need to explain."

Davy Guigneau is most interested to find original cabriolet parts or any parts specific for 1934. You can contact him on the site dedicated to this car. The above is your editor's poor translation of the French text sent by Davy. Under "Read More" you can read the French text. What a courageous restoration!

Hello,
I am looking for rear lights with bead on the outside of a pre-war Citroën Traction from 1935. Do you have this?
It is possible to have photos.

I have seen worse. A donor car will help but keep a few original pieces to make it ''Authentic '' ! Good luck, you will need it, and plenty of money!!!

I presume he has already looked at Jeroen Cats'(RIP) most informative site.
As the only way of distinguishing it would be from the serial No. on the left front chassis member, which looks to be still remaining.
