Last weekend the famous Silverstone track saw the 60th anniversary of the first Bentley drivers club race meeting. And for the first time ever this was a two-day event. Invited clubs were the Aston Martin Owners Club, "Equipe" GTS, Masters Series, Sunbeam Tiger owners club, Morgan Challenge Series and Thoroughbred Sportscar Championship. This mix gave extremely exciting races. Beside the pure Bentley races, there was the Power Torque Morgan Challenge and some extraordinary handicap races mixing cars from a 1922 3-Litre TT Bentley to a 1990 Bentley TURBO R, one of which made a spectacular turbo burst... A demonstration on the track of 24-Litre Railton Napier and 2003 Le Mans winner Bentley Speed 8 were highlights with the great Bentley parade on Saturday noon.
