The Brennabor Alpensieger Mystery (Upd. various)

Posing here is Margarete Reichstein, wife of Carl Reichstein, who was the founder of the German make Brennabor. They were Germany’s biggest car producer in the 1920s with some 70.000 cars and vans. This photo dates from 1928 and interestingly Margarete is leaning against a Brennabor ASK, the so-called Alpensieger (conqueror of the Alpes). Matthias Müller has a similar -or maybe the same- ASK that he bought some fifteen months ago. It came from the Czech Republic, had no rust, no dents, no windows, but was nearly complete. Matthias has already restored the engine and gearbox and will now start work on the body. To learn more about the car’s history, Matthias has contacted a great-grandson of the company`s founder, but was told that all files have been destroyed during the war. So the questions are obvious: are there anymore ASK Brennabor’s left and who knows more about this particular model? Tell us!

But he states that it's from 1928 and says that the bigger Brennabors had little success because of the competition from the Americans.
