The sole known survivor and more

On the 26th of September 2020 Historics Auctioneers’, auction takes place on the beautiful Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire, England. A total of 190 classic cars and motorcycles will be auctioned from 09:30 AM (GMT+1).

Among the PreWarCars on offer is a 1938 Triumph Dolomite with a ‘waterfall’ grille. For the last 34 years the car has been owned by the same registered keeper and was under his ownership restored over a 27-year period. “A credit to the original designers and perhaps an even bigger credit to the craftsmen that have put the car into the condition it is in today”, is what the auctioneer writes which we could not have agreed with more. The Triumph is presented in magnificent condition and estimated at (only) £32,000 - £40,000.

Another saloon on offer is this 1936 Daimler E-20 Saloon, finished in Midnight Blue and black livery. This E-20 is a spacious and luxurious piece of British motoring history of which around 35 examples are still around. The estimate £17,000 - £22,000.

On offer is a beautiful British Racing Green 3 litre Bentley with matching numbers. This Bentley with short-chassis left the works in 1926, fitted with an Open Sports body supplied by Vanden Plas. Can it get any better? The estimate £370,000 - £390,000.

Other cars to be offered on the 26th of September are a 1931 Talbot AM90 Speed, the only known survivor of just 12 AM90 bodied by Offord. Two trucks: a 1924 Ford Model TT Box Truck and a 1931 Ford Model AA Truck. A lovely 1929 Humber 14/40 – great to take the family out or to participate in club events with. And an original righthand drive 1929 Rolls Royce 20/25 with coachwork by Rippon.
