Visions of Tomorrow

Ninety years ago Henry Ford had a vision about his company strategy that talked of "One Ford, one plan, one team and working together". This idea was translated by his advertising department into an ad campaign about Ford providing affordable, safe transportation to everyone. The advert "Opening the Highways to All Mankind", showing a family that overlooks a hilly landscape dotted with cars and Ford manufacturing facilities in the background, was originally placed in the Saturday Evening Post on Jan. 24, 1925. Some years ago the original painting for the advert has been rediscovered, restored and now adopted by present day Ford brass as a new concept for future company policy. It reminds us of the old saying 'Everything old is new again', but we must also stress that we really like it when these old adverts get a new life and are seen as a true form of art.

As described in the biographies, Ford has made it possible for a larger group of people to travel greater distances and so for townpeople to visit the country site, and even change their social life.
I see a happy youg family enjoying the wonderfull view far away from the Citty, and in the clouds you see the “new God” or Devil as you wish who made this all possible.
If you are considered the clouds as one big air pollution, then you're just a victim of your own new times and way of thinking.

Perhaps it was also Henry Ford's dream of the world if he had managed to succeed with his extreme right wing/fascist political views.

I would add my little take, this painting is from 1925 when knowledge about environment and all connected with that was in its infancy. Mercury and Lead were used in Medicines!!

It seems to me more a vision of a post-apocalyptic world.
As the population flee the metropolis, the parents' dreams of prosperity are dissolving into the the smog. The little girl picks through a slag heap to find a flower and her brother crys for help as he sinks into an industrial quick sand.
I'd think twice about this campaign if I were the Chief Tomato.

I s'pose I will not be thanked for even hinting at alternative-global politics, but Henry's so-called vision only partly-hid a utopian world view that has culminated in the 21st Century in this real-world fight to the death battle for (New) World domination instigated by forces so evil most people refuse point-blank to believe they even exist.

The 9/11 event was pulled-off in broad daylight without ONE SINGLE REAL AIRPLANE
being flown in anger (if I could check the historical facts online 10 years ago, so can anybody today)

Henry was simply repeating Rothschild-zionist propaganda: believe it or Ripley not

What's really nice for a Ford advert is that some of the cars are clearly not Fords, easy to spot being orange and grey instead of black.
