A Day to Remember

Today is November 11th, the day we remember the end of the First World War. The Great War ended this day 95 years ago at precisely 11.00 hours GMT. So today, think of the fighting men who lost their lives in the line of duty, but also of the women. Especially those driving the ambulances that carried the wounded men from the front. Most were women from 'well-to-do' families as they were the ones who had a drivers' licence. These women must have been a brave lot to endure those horrors.
Never war again, we said that day.
