Welcome to our new website!

For the last months, we have been working very hard behind the scenes to get the website ready. The moment we all have been waiting for is (finally) there. We are live!

With pleasure and pride, we show you the renewed PreWarCar.com website!

You can compare the process of a new website with the restoration of a PreWarCar. For many years you enjoy driving your car and give it a lot of TLC. While driving it you discover some points that need to be repaired or improved. Sometimes temporary fixes do. But others are more projects and take a little bit more expertise. You wait a long time... Some are in the luxurious position to put the car aside and take out another one (but with websites, this is of course not the case). In the back of your mind, you keep thinking about your beloved car that stands all alone in the back of the garage. Next winter it is the perfect time to execute your plan! The days are getting shorter and you start very enthusiastically working on the car. You put a lot of time, effort and money in it. When that does not turn out to be enough, you put even more love in the project...

Does this sound familiar to you?

Our main goal was to achieve more user-friendliness because we know many of you use our website PreWarCar.com on a daily basis. This means that from now on there is an easier way to find your so desired cars and parts (in our ‘make-a-choice’ system). You can view many more pictures, which are now also easier to ‘swipe’.

We will keep continuing to publish a daily feature about the early cars in our magazine. And of course, you can keep searching for that car or that one part that you are looking for to complete your project!

We think the website as a whole has improved a lot. If you have any questions regarding the new website, you can always contact us via [email protected]. We will be delighted to answer them.

We really hope you will keep enjoying our daily features, the many great cars and the interesting parts that you can find online, but we’re positive you will!

Enjoy the website!

Kind Regards,

The PreWarCar.com Team

Hello!
Congratulations on the big project! I´m sure it will turn out to work fine in the end.
However I do have some problems to locate the stuff that I´m after; a simple way to see for example all the new parts that were uploaded during the night and early morning. The old layout permitted you to do that with only one single click. Then you could see in 5 secs on all the fingernails if there was something of interest. The same re. Veteran cars, Vintage cars etc. etc. I don´t say that you should go back to the old days´functions, but you must admit that the function was impeccable in terms of overview and simplicity. If you could keep that, but in "new clothes", maybe it would be a good idea. Or maybe you have already done that?
I would be much pleased if you could email me a complete site map, and necessary instructions on how to reach all areas, it would help me a lot. I use at least ½-1 hour per day on PreWarCar in order to enhance my car collection, so it is important to me.
Best regards from
Per

One or two hiccups, but we have patience - or we wouldn't like playing with old cars would we?
Good luck - I look forward to learning the ways of the new modern website ( when I should be mending the head gasket on my Bullnose Morris.)

Robin.

Yes, I feel like I'm after a restoration that took a long time and caused some problems, but I'm also thinking about the long awaited and somewhat feared first trip. There are also some unexpected problems! So the tow rope tied up and returned to the workshop to fix things. The Car Parts section does not yet function properly, after a short flashing of the ads the system switches back to the overview. At other places there is still a bit of a problem, so all old articles in the section show a prewar mystery and Spot a prewar car are no longer available?
But, as I said before, the first trip offers some surprises.
I wish good luck with the repair!

One of the best things about the old website was browsing through pages of prewar stuff.
Browsing through the parts now, on a mobile device is very frustrating.

Hopefully things will improve
