As this has been a somewhat commercial week at PostWarClassic, we might as well present you also a pre-war truck. This one was made by a large company that was to become even bigger in later years. The truck you see here was especially meant for use on unpaved roads, so as one of the first it had all the features that would be needed for going off-road. One was built and shipped to Africa where it was extensively tested and even became to be used as a police vehicle. Later the truck was nicknamed after the man who tested it in Africa. Yet, perhaps of the complicated design, no others were built and this truck disappeared from the face of the earth. What we would like to hear from you is: 1) Which company made it? 2) Who designed it? 3) Name at least two special features 4) And what was the nick-name of this truck? If you have other knowledge, please tell us also, but please use no more than 100 words. Send us your answer by using the Contact Form or the ‘Add new comment’ box below before Monday, October 29. Have a great weekend!
