What is it? Quiz #409

This week's quiz car was made in England in 1913, but it could also be a 1912 model. It was advertised as a cyclecar and we can share with you a picture of the chassis.
There were at least two foreign cars made with the same name,  and 'our' manufacturer also produced a car with a very different layout.

The more details you can give us about the car shown, the more likely you are to win. We now ask you to please log in here before posting your answers to the quiz (up to 700 spam comments per day have become intolerable, but we are working on a solution).

Post your answer before Monday December 7th and you may become the winner of this week's pre-war Quiz and will get the infamous PreWarCar T-shirt. Be careful though, check the Rules under 'Read More' first. Results and source of photo will be published next Saturday, December 12th. Enjoy the weekend!

Dear Editor,

The Mystery car in What is it(?) Quiz No 409 is a PREMIER Cyclecar. They were built in the years 1912 and 1913 in Coventry, England. Price for a complete car was 100 Guineas - without hood and windscreen.

Power came from a proprietary air-cooled vee-twin engine of approximately 998cc. At least one vehicle is known to survive. The chassis components appear to have been sourced from Chater Lea (UK) and also From The Merlin Cyclecar company (also UK).

At least one of these vehicles is known to survive. This was offered in recent years out of Germany(?).

Regards Graeme Jarrett (Australia)
