We think this will be a difficult car to guess from a photo (click main pic), so we’ll have to give you several clues. To start with, this ‘coupé chauffeur’ was made in France. Like many others, the company had its roots in the middle of the nineteenth century as a carriage and wagon maker. The son of the owner built a 3-wheeled car in 1898, followed by a 4-wheeler in 1900. The latter had a De Dion-Bouton engine, but one year later the company made two-cylinder engines in their own factory. In 1904 (or 1903, sources are not clear) the company was joined by an engineer from the Loire district, who added his name to the company in 1906. The marque never became well-known, although they exported to countries like Romania, the United States and Mexico. By 1925 the company went into decline and its factory was bought by another French automobile maker. To win the infamous PreWarCar T-shirt tells us at least the make, if possible the year and who bought the company in 1925. Any other information is welcome, but please first read the rules.
